hello to the last week before school starts.

yes yes, im finally starting sch next week. when i just received my acceptance package, it was early may. and now, its already coming to the end of aug. suddenly, going back to school seems so foreign. this half a year of doing nothing.. eh wait, i didnt really do nothing, i worked for a few mths. but anyway, starting school seems to be a whole lot more different now. mainly cuz of a few things.

1) im starting school in a not-so-school-compound, which is the national lib. so physically, it doesnt really have that school building image, unlike pri, sec and poly where you know it is a place solely for studying. UNLV's located in a lib so it doesnt have that school feel where the min you enter it is the school compound. you still need to take a lift up to the levels which the sch is located.

2) i dunno a single sole who is attending the same school as me so its like way worse when i firat got into poly. at least i still had my cousin with me and we met on the orientation day to walk up the tp bus stop to the lecture hall together. moreover, i knew that i had friends in tp who were taking different courses as me although we cant be classmates but still, you know that you have friends there to rely on, or to at least sms to ask if meeting for lunch was possible. now, it's totally not possible cuz i dun even know half a person there. so it kinda sucks.

3) i dunno how to make my way there. i've only been to the school once so far which is on may 29 where i went to pay e deposit. after that, the closest that i've been to the school is surfing the school's website. at least previously in poly, i went there quite a few times before. come to think of it, i have never gone to sch alone. except for the horrible part where i left coral sec to be transferred to haising after 1 month sch commenced. thats was pretty bad cuz i remembered crying in coral sec when my mum happily announced to me that haising accepted me. and the next day i had to report to haising, i felt so angry at her cuz i made friends in coral and i was happy there. but owells, i still had to go thru being the slow poke and the last lost sheep in haising. other sec 1 students alr went for orientation and were somewhat familiar with the sch compounds and assembly areas after 3 weeks of lesson. so while everyone had already made new friends, i joined in and trust me, walking through the main gate on that day, alone, with a whole lot of other students from all levels was really scary, i almost cried. i still rmb telling myself not to cry and i comforted myself by saying maybe there were a lot of handsome guys in haising-which i later found out to my dismay, there were none. ok i digressed enough. main point: the uni seems to me more of a foreign land than a learning institution.

4) i dunno how the school is like, as in, the lessons, the teachers, the environment, the rules and blah blah.. i dont have someone that i can ask. unlike previously, i had people who have been in tp before and i could get some info or stuff like that. this time, zero percent info, one hundred percent lost. of cuz, when sch starts i would be more familiar.

5) this might be a life changing time for me cuz degree seems like serious business rather den o level and poly exams. seriously, i think poly exams was much more enjoyable den sec school o levels. though i hate exams but it still remains clear to me that degree is tough, or so it seems.

im getting the jitters and excitedness and confusion and mental stress already. someone pls tell me how to feel better cuz i really feel quite lost. though i have told many people about where i am going to study and what it will be about and where it is and how long it would take and blah blah blah, actually, inside of me still feel a tad of uncertainty. or perhaps it is due to my jitters, excitedness, confusion and mental stress that emerged this uncertainty in me. i dont know.

ok, pre-school emotions aside.

had a nice dinner at grand copthrone waterfront on sat. to celebrate my sis and bro-in-law's birthday cuz their bday was only a week apart. and for the first time(actually second but nvm) i had oysters. damm they were good! all along, i never liked oysters cuz i remembered trying them once before(that was my first time) and i totally hated it and spit it out. reason being? cuz i think i kept chewing it though i know i shouldnt. but i couldnt swallow, esp those of you who know that i cant swallow tablets, and i always have to crush them and pour the crushed tablet and mix with a spoon of water before swallowing it. (but im much better now cuz i can swallow small tablets and capsules alr so hooray to that. i know it not a big deal to many of u but it is to me) anws, i tried oysters again cuz they looked pretty small and less intimidating so yea, and i loved it. haha now mr kong has to include oysters into the "kelly's fav food" list, which i have to say, is already a long list. heh..

after dinner, i headed to weisheng's bbq. it was quite wierd cuz i was there with all his friends and no one went with me. i didnt stay for long though cuz i guessed it would be quite awkward so i arranged to meet kk after that. wells, i felt that there was a moment of awkwardness the min i appeared at the bbq pit. i suddenly feel like people were looking at me and like, "eh, kelly's here" (in chinese) so i was like "erm, hi hi, hello" and i saw his tkd friends and its almost like 2 years ago where he had a bbq for his bday just that the only difference is the status of the relationship. i usually felt ok seeing his tkd friends and talking to them but when i saw them again, it was quite funny and the way they said "hi" was also a little funny. all in all, it was funny. i felt a little out of place.

doreen mdm came to shake my hand. i was quite taken aback by it cuz i nv once had any kind of contact with her, not even accidentally bumping into her that kind of contact and she always appears to be very cool and she dont anyhow shake ppl's hand so when she reached her hand out to me and smiled to me with that firm handshake, it made me feel much more comfortable, for some reason that i dunno y. it's like a familiar recognition, like hey, i think i knew you since a long time ago kind of feeling. got weisheng a t-shirt and i think its quite cute. the caption goes something like: surgeon general's warining: harassing me about smoking is hazadous to you. something like that. i left soon after taking a pic with him and again, the min i put down the phone when kk called to say he had reached and i said: ok i come out now. i think i had 10 pairs of eyes starring at me and then at wiesheng. and suddenly again, it gone quiet as i told them, "wo xian zhuo le". and waved gdbye. and i could feel them getting startled, not expecting me to leave so soon. as i walked away, it felt like i had many pairs of eyes watching me walk away. it was wierd but im glad i managed to give him his present on time and i hope he likes it.

right, enough about the bbq.

caught disturbia with mr kong. it was nice and the killer's really damm sick. i hoped i never have such a neighbour. i'd rather put up with my neighbour's polar bear's barking. yes, i mean to say that big white dog that looks like a polar bear and makes a german shepard look like a chihuahua. actually, it's quite cute you know, just that if you minus the barking mouth and increase ur tolerance level.

im off to sleep, im trying to get back to normal sleeping and waking up time so that i wont have so much trouble waking up and going to school. i hope i can share the car with my bro so that i can drive to school on alternate weeks cuz taking the train there and walking acrosss to the lib kinda makes me sian. hrmph.. and my dad did mention before on getting me a small and cheap car like cherry QQ for transport but looks like it is not gonna happen yet. but i hope soon though! hee..

and i'll be going ikea tmr with mr kong cuz he's gonna get a new tv rack and cupboard cuz he finally is going to have SCV at home and gonna get a tv in his room so we'll shop for stuff tmr.
