its tuesday already. so fast. i had department lunch today. my manager drove us out to east coast for korean lunch. it was this restaurant beside long beach. when they said we were heading to eat korean, i was like, korean? all i could think of was my korean seaweed, e korean drama full house, princess hours and 200 punds beauty. and im not a fan of korean food cuz it has all those funny tasting vegetables! ewww.. kimchi is fine but the rest of the side dishes were like, uh. and you know how plentiful side dishes there are in korean cuisine, which would take up half the table. in the centre was some bbq pit look alike where u can bbq ur food but e waitress did it for us.
and so, my manager(mr lee) was like, kelly, eat eat, help yourself, don't feel shy. well cuz firstly, i am only a temp staff and a new, experienced lady joined our dept just yesterday. i guess he was afraid i would think that im only a temp staff and so not entitled to privileges. there were only 4 of us so mr lee said not to feel shy. okay, partly why i didnt eat so much cuz i was a little shy and uncomfortable. and my manager sat in front of me and he had a small particle of nose shit right at his nostrils, i was so scared he would sneeze and worst if he sneezed right into my food to give extra flavouring. ugh. okay he kept asking me to eat cuz i hardly touched the food and i guess he noticed that. well, and not that i was really shy but the food was not to my liking! if u give me one packet of korean seaweed and a kimchi, i'll choose seaweed!
at the end of the dinner, he asked, how's the food? i was like, oh, it was nice. i liked the vegetables, very much. piang oi.. (-.-") in my head, there was this voice telling me to say: it was horrible and ur nose shit was distracting! but thinking that it was a free lunch and i got to have a 2.5 hour lunch break with transport to and fro, i managed to cough out "very nice" though it was a big fat lie. i wanted to say that i would come here again but i thought i should just stop lying.
this thurs, the person im working with, joyceline, is going on a close to 3 week leave. goodness, i'll be left alone for lunch! apparently, no one notices me cuz im just a temp and joyce said that usually they don't lunch with temp staff. so unfriendly. so whenever i walk into office to start work or go home after i end work, i always smile widely cuz the full timers all start earlier and end later then me! haha, all you unfriendly monsters with no sense of friendliness and dress sense, booooooooos! but joyce is nice, so she is excluded from my childish booooooos. hurhur.
okay maybe i havent got to know the rest of the people on my office. i'm quite extrovert i must say. i don't see why i should take the initiative to know them, anyway i'll only be there for a month or so. and they also don't say hi or smile at me. i try to make eye contact with some people who look more friendly but they just sit at their desk, eyes glued on the computer in front, ma chaim got 4d number coming out. yea, they are friendly only to the people the know but not to me. so sad right. but i don't really care anyway, i won't be there long.
i want to work in a fashion house.. any idea if singapore has one? i think it would be so nice working in a field that really interests me. or work for magazines and stuff. is that considered as working with mediacorp?
ok something random that i just pulled out from my head.
i hate people who show off. if you got something that is worth to be show off, i can close one eye cuz u really do have something. but if you don't have anything but act as if u have it, pls stop it. it is irritating. don't go on and on with self praise. it is pathetic. stop announcing that little that you have achieved. it is disguesting. don't act high class when you don't even have a position in the world of the rich. it is stinking.
don't ever wear a hat that is too big for your head.
oookie, it's almost 9! time for my channel 8 show. haha!
